Narrator:"Crack the whip" is a playground game popular with grade-school children.
Narrator:The child at the end of the 'whip' may approach speeds of eight meters per second before being launched across the yard. Wheee!
Narrator:Children may learn principles of mechanical advantage, and will likely have occasion to learn the basics of first aid.
Narrator:They also learn when to let go.
