A Fortnight’s Fortitude — Two Conventions in Two Weeks

Posted May 21st, 2007 by Howard Tayler

This coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (May 25-27) will find me at CONduit XVII in Salt Lake City. I’m commuting, which means I’ll be getting less sleep, but spending less money.

Next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (June 1-3) will find me at A-Kon 18 in Dallas. I’m one of the Guests of Honor.

I’ve got a lot to do in order to get ready, and having these things back-to-back will require me to get much more rest during the week than I usually do. This next fortnight is going to be kind of rough.

I’ll post my schedules soon. First, though, I need to bang out a week of comics…

Good grief! Akon? Already? It’s that time of year already?

    Where does the time go!

(runs off in a blind panic)

    (runs back)

“Good luck at the cons! Hope to see you at Akon!”

I’m pretty depressed – I had to cancel A-kon because I’m moving two weeks later, and I need the money in place. Otherwise, I would be there to meet Howard and thank him personally for the fun ride.

There’s a good chance I’ll be at A-Kon, at least one day. Kristie’s an anime fan, and I have a customer that just purchased property up there – this will give me a chance to look it over BEFORE I have to go up there and wire the building.
