Teraport Wars Book Release Party
Posted September 30th, 2008 by Sandra TaylerThe book release party for The Teraport Wars will be held Friday October 10 from 4-8 pm at Dragon’s Keep in Provo (260 N Main Street.) Howard will be happy to draw pictures in books and to visit with fans. We’ll have food and prizes as well. The official party will be over by 8 pm, but those who wish to linger later into the evening to play games are welcome to do so.
See you there!
UPDATE! Brandon Sanderson, author of the popular Mistborn fantasy trilogy and the man tapped to finish Robert Jordan’s epic The Wheel of Time series will also be on hand for the party. He wrote the introduction to The Teraport Wars and will be signing alongside Howard. He’ll also have his own books available for sale and for signing.

Re: Your Daily Schlock Fix for Tuesday, September 30, 2008
Heheh. I like “applied research.”

I could make some crude joke about how I’ve been forced to do pure research for years, but I shall refrain…
:)

I think I’m going to be chuckling about that joke for a while.
Thanks for posting about the book release party. I doubt I’ll make it, but I will get the book as soon as it’s possible.

OMG…..armored underwear. And “applied research” was almost as good. But if it wasn’t for that armored underwear, cause of tagon’s big mouth, his dad would NEVER have grandchildren. lol. several times over.

*checks Airfare* hmmm, $850 round trip… Don’t think I’ll be making it, sadly. I’ll just have to host my own in the local area.

How ’bout a live web feed, so those of us too far away can be a part of all the action?

A live video feed would be interesting. If there’s anybody locally who knows how to do that, I’m sure the folks at the Keep wouldn’t object.

Tagon’s Fourty Nine?!
And he still has better hair than me. Damn.

I WOULD have laughed harder if it wasn’t uncomfortably close to a comment my mom made to me this last summer when I was back in the U.S.
The childless thing.
My pants are good.

OK, actually it’s an ~18-hour bus trip — with no way of avoiding
Standing In A Greyhound Bus Station At An Obscene Hour Of The
Morning.
Rental car… and what about shower facilities? (Beds I can deal
without; you do *NOT* want to know what I’m like if I haven’t
showered lately. The “5-2-1 rule” for me is *exactly* that. :P )
Hmm. (Or is that “Ominous Hmm…”? >;) )

I can probably give people the information on how to set up a live video feed, but I won’t be there.

WhaHOOOOO! Howard and Brandon signing together!
Now if we could just coax Dan there and maybe get a live podcast after the event…
