Death by Cliché redux

Last Tuesday I pointed Schlockers worldwide at Bob Defendi’s new audiobook podcast Death by Cliché. Bob’s server groaned under the load and then expired.
Bob now assures me that the technicians in charge have correctly configured things, and are standing by for your traffic on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Bob was so confident, in fact, that he dares you to try to take his server down.
No DDoSing, though. Just go listen to Death by Cliché, Episode 2. And if you haven’t hit DbC Episode 1 yet, you ought to start there.
Episode 2 has one of the greatest moments of the whole audiobook in it: the expository “DOOOM!” sequence.

So Howard, is there a RSS/Podcast subscribe link we can use for the DbC, or is it a ‘check back every Saturday night for the next exciting adventures of’?

Hmmm, looks like we may be stressing the server a bit. My download speed is topping out at 8 KB sec.
Ohhh, and dropping. Down nearly to 7.
And at 10% download, we are now at 6.2 KB sec.
Sorry, I just love watching someones boast blow up in their face.
Someone plugged their website on Rush Limbaugh one day and were warned that their site was about to be crashed. They boasted a robust server farm. An hour later they called back that the entire farm had crashed.
Made me giggle. But then, I love seeing tech explode. Which reminds me. I need to take my old computer out on my next shot and watch it get blown up. Sigh…

Yes, it’s a wordpress blog so is comes with an RSS feed built in. When you’re on the site, you should see the little RSS button go active in your browser (in firefox it’s on the right side of the URL bar, for instance.)

Bob Defendi here, and you guys are doing a GREAT job. Assuming most of you are downloading the second ep (which is about to become an invalid assumption), you have, since I posted yesterday, caused as many downloads as the first episode all last week. Now that one was more than twice the size, but this one is closer to all the other downloads.
I just started one myself and we’re back to less-time-to-download than to listen. So this test is looking great so far. I want to thank everyone SO much.
