Small Press Expo — I’ll be there this October

Small Press Expo

Just a quick update — Blank Label Comics will have a table at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland this coming October.

If you’re on the East Coast, this is probably your only chance this year to connect with me, so please don’t miss it. I’d love to see you (and sell you stuff.)

Howard, I don’t yet know what I will do to welcome you to my home state, but I guarantee it won’t creep you out too much! … Almost positively not! ;-)

  3. Greg Says:

Woo! I’ve been hoping something would draw you to the East Coast, and now you’re coming right to my backyard. We’ll need to arrange to go out and get dinner and such things.

Hmmm… The North Bethesda Marriott… Right near White Flint Mall. Cheesecake Factory springs immediately to mind. Or Dave & Busters.

  5. Hiro Wantabe Says:

Or PF Chaing’s…or Addies…lots of great places to eat in southern Rockville or Bethesda. Perhaps Sgt Schlock would like a crab cake with his Ovalqwik?

  6. Greg Says:

Dave & Buster’s is a good choice. Lots of room to play and chat and carouse and eat. Unless it’s changed, though I doubt it. Wow, I haven’t been to that D&B’s since I was an undergrad…

  7. Eran of Arcadia Says:

Hmm . . . my company sends workers to that hotel. It is a bit of a hike from Alexandria for me, but if I get a chance I might make it.

  8. DeeJaye6 Says:

    Hiro,

The only reason I didn’t mention PF Chang’s is because of its relatively high dollar-to-calorie ratio compared to that of Cheesecake Factory and D&B. Plus, CF and D&B both have tables *built* for large groups (which is what I am expecting Howard would draw). :-) Plus, the parking at White Flint is plentiful and it is a rather large landmark.

  9. DeeJaye6 Says:

WHOA! And I just found out that Addies has a 3-month long reservations list and costs about $100 a plate!

  10. Greg Says:

    I think D&B’s takes reservations. I know CF doesn’t.
