And Now I’ve Got Wonder All Over Me

Posted May 12th, 2007 by Howard Tayler

Okay, Project Wonderful… I’m sold.

Nothing does this old mercenary heart quite so much good as watching a group of people bid my services up to four times what I originally thought they were worth.

    Glad to help. :)

One thing your wonderful readers know–is how helpful and supportive your wonderful readers are. I splurged on getting an ad there for 3/4 of a day, and tried to splurge higher, but the current ad really has it locked and my funds would disappear in a pouf of ash if I tried much more than that.

and (finding my old account) — I love how the numbers in today’s strip appear to be purely length-encoded. :)

Mercenary heart*, heh! It is hardly a secret, Howard. You (and your readers) enjoy your work! Schlock on; oh Glabrous One!

He’s gone one step past binary, to a unary number system.
It sounds more impressive that way :-D

    Mononary, I think.

    No, unary. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unary_numeral_system

I don’t even have a product, and I’d buy adspace, if I had the right banner…

I decided to give it a try on my own site (http://www.anarchic-teapot.net – if others can plug their sites then so can I :P ) and it’s certainly brightened it up. It’s nice being able to choose which ads to run, and I reckon as time goes by it’ll mean *I* get to discover more good comics as well (although I’ve already discovered one bloody awful one: there’s one ad that doesn’t get through).

Have earned all of 2c so far. Maybe by the time I’ve worked out how to use The Gimp and produced something that’s not too embarrassing (I can’t draw very well at all), I’ll have a dozen or so cents to start financing a campaign.
