I'm pretty close to making a decision on the matter of hiring a colorist (which is to say that I've already decided to hire a colorist, and now it's just a matter of selecting one from among the applications I have already received). As I said in my last missive, the response has been very encouraging. I'm sure that Schlock readers will be pleased regardless of who I pick.

This week has been a rough one. I spent most of it fairly sick in spite of a heavy regimen of vitamins. I attribute the lapse in health to my attempt to go to work on Tuesday -- had I stayed home THEN, sleeping and taking lots of vitamin C, and appropriate quantities of zinc and echinacea, I probably would have been fine on Wednesday and Thursday. As it was I ended up worthless through about Friday afternoon.

As you might expect, by Friday afternoon it did not matter much what I was worth, since everybody else was now worthless in anticipation of the weekend. Oh well.

I got next to no cartooning done this week, which is frustrating, but that's what the buffer is for, right? As of this writing there are 27 days worth of Schlock Mercenary colored and uploaded.

Anyway, right now I'm healthy and looking forward to a busy week -- one which will hopefully contain a decision.
