Attention Connecticut Schlockers!
entry,

On Monday (that's THIS Monday) the 29th of September, I'll be heading into Stamford Connecticut on Novell business, but they're cutting me loose for the evening. The LAST time this happened, back in Seattle, I hooked up with four local Schlockers, and we hung out at Red Robin. I dished out some sketches, and a very nice Schlocker who hails by "Vermilion" picked up my dinner tab (thanks, Verm!)

Now I'm not suggesting that I need anyone to buy me dinner, nor am I intimating that I'll only swap sketches in exchange for food. What I'm driving at here is that if you live in the Stamford area you may have the opportunity to cure me of some boredom. Think of it as payment in kind for all the boredom you've let me cure YOU of. (Remember that time you read through the entire Schlock Mercenary archive?)

Here's the pertinent information: at around 7pm local time I'll be arriving at the Stamford Marriott, which can be found at:

Two Stamford Forum,

If there are Stamford-area Schlockers wanting to meet up, I suggest you quickly head out to this thread at the Nightstar Schlock forum and make plans with each other. You can apprise me of said plans when I show up, but bear in mind that I do reserve the right to veto Very Stupid Activities, including (but not limited to) "pin the bar-tab on the cartoonist," and "throw poo-poo at the local constable."

Here on the home-front, I'm not getting as much drawn as I'd like. Still, Saturday I made good progress, inking my way back up to fourteen in the buffer, and pencilling another seven days beyond that. I'm in good health again, which means it's about time for me to get on an airplane again and allow some vectorhead from Southeast Asia to give me a rare variant of that chicken flu thing.

*Sigh*. I'm doping up on Vitamin C as we speak. Or rather, as I speak to myself while I type. If you're reading this out loud, I have to wonder how you get through the strip every day?
