Book 14: Broken Wind — Part II: Can Full of Sky

Transcript

NARRATOR: 13,000 kilometers away, atop a godwall...

LEGS: See?  I was right!

SCHLOCK: See?  I can't see anything besides clouds.

LEGS: Exactly!  There's a permanent low-pressure system south of this wall.

EBBY: Active sensors show rainfall.  It's probably been coming down for as long as the wall has been here.

ANDY: If there's high ground behind 'em, I bet the godwalls are the headwaters for every major river in here.

SCHLOCK: If there's low bits, they'd fill up with water, right?

LEGS: There are low bits.  Radar's showing a system of lakes under those clouds.

EBBY: You know, we haven't collected any aquatic samples yet.

MURTAUGH: Is Dropsy amphibious?

SCHLOCK: Maxim 32: "Anything is amphibious if you can get it back out of the water."

MURTAUGH: That maxim usually results in a recovery team deciding their materiel is not amphibious.
