Book 16: Big, Dumb Objects — Part I

Transcript

CDRE TAGON: The manufacturing techniques of the ancient Oafans have been lost, but we think they were thousands of times more efficient than our own.

Their dead were laid to rest in giant mausoleums, and through a quirk of Oafan biology, their memories are inscribed in scrolls of foil made from their skin.

CDRE TAGON: The crypt spider project is how we're going to read all those scrolls.

BALA-AMIN: I get crypt. Why spider?

CDRE TAGON: I think because it sounded cool.
