Note: Any astronomer can tell you that the only ways to see a starless (or galaxy-less) sky from space is to have something in your way, or something wrong with your camera. As there's nothing in the way here, we must assume that some fault of the camera has been exploited as a feature to help sell the idea of how far these people are from anybody else.
