It's also an unsubtle nod to the fact that as of today, Schlock Mercenary has been running for six years, uninterrupted.

TAG: There are three teraport interdiction systems in operation, and we are being painted by six different warships.
Captain Tagon: I thought you were ordered to 'port us someplace safe!
TAG: Indeed. It appears that our presence and safety are mutually exclusive factors.
