Book 9: The Body Politic — Part IV: We Kept the Party Hats

Transcript

Elf: The Soldier-Boosting can't really be that valuable.
Kevyn: Are you kidding? Look, not to blow my own horn, but with those boosts I was able to gut an entire enemy base, including armored soldiers and heavy Cav. I was punching through hullmetal with my hands.
Elf: And decent gravetics would have jellied you faster than you can say "Tag, Xinchub's it."
Kevyn: I. . . I thought I was your hero. . .
Elf: You are. But I prefer my heroes smart, and just a little squishy.
Massey: Objection, Your Honor. Too much information.
