Book 11: Massively Parallel — Part IV: Mallcop Command

Note: "Maxim 5" in The Seventy Maxims of Maximally Effective Mercenaries states "Close air support and friendly fire should be easier to tell apart." Should be, yes. But sometimes you need to call in an air strike on your own position, just to be sure.

BUNNIGUS: The alarm klaxon burst three of your six aural membranes, but they were easy to fix.

LEGS: Thanks, Doc.

BUNNIGUS: That's quite a lot of noise for a "We're being hacked" alarm.  I guess there is such a thing as overkill after all, pithy quotes notwithstanding.

LEGS: That wasn't overkill.  It was friendly fire...

... or maybe close air support.  Those two can be hard to tell apart.
