Caped CONduit This Weekend

I am attending CONduit in Salt Lake City this weekend. It's a great little show, and for me it's almost a family reunion of local fandom. This year, however, Sandra has taken off to BayCon so I'm hanging around at CONduit without her. I will, however, have Keliana with me -- she's exhibiting in the art show, and will be running the Schlock Mercenary table while I'm at panels.

If you have not yet purchased a membership you can save yourself $5.00 by picking up a coupon at one of the fine genredasheries listed on CONduit's home page. Yes, I just made up the word "genredashery." Yes, Dragon's Keep in Provo has coupons.

As a special bonus, those attending the event will be able to see my daughter Keliana's pieces in the art show. They're up for sale, and I'm fairly certain that within ten years anything she produced in High School will be worth about ten times as much. Sure, a lot of that might simply be the Dad in me speaking, but she's got a passion for art that I cannot match, and is only improving on her already impressive skill set each day.

I could talk about her all day. Here's my schedule:

Friday

10:00am -- Arrive, set up.

12:00pm-4:00pm -- Booth time, AKA "Watch Howard Work." I have a week of comics to ink.

4:00pm -- "Streamlining Your Fiction"

Saturday

11:00am -- Signing

1:00pm -- "How To Write Good Villians"

3:00pm --"XDM: X-treme Dungeon Mastery" with Tracy Hickman

4:00pm-7:00pm -- Booth time.

7:00pm -- "Artists on Art."

8:00pm-midnight -- "Celebrity L5R"

Sunday

AM -- I make no promises about Sunday Morning.

4:00pm -- "What To Do When Your Magic/Technology Fails Your Story"

I think I'm the very most excited about the Celebrity L5R event. Bob Defendi is running a Legend of the Five Rings role-playing game, and I'll be playing in it along with Larry Correia, Dan Wells, Dan Willis, Steve Diamond, Nick Dianatkah, and Robison Wells.

Since I am ostensibly in charge of the Tayler children this weekend I'm not entirely sure what shape Sunday will take. I'm positive that on Monday I'll be ready for a vacation.
