The Body Politic Shipping Update

More than half of the pre-orders for Schlock Mercenary: The Body Politic have been shipped! The remaining orders (which include any order that had an "Artist's Choice" sketch edition in it) will go out a week from today. The loss of A/C for a few days here at Chez Tayler threw a bit of a wrench in my schedule, as did my desire to whip up some fresh banners for our booth at GenCon Indy. So I still have about 240 books to draw in.

Speaking of GenCon Indy, a week from now I board a commercial aircraft and jet cross-country to one of my very favorite shows of the year. You'll be able to find me, Jim Zub, and Gen Con's Lifetime Guest of Honor Tracy Hickman in booth 1749. You can also find me signing at the Privateer Press booth on Friday and Saturday from about 10:00am until noon, and I'm doing panels on Thursday evening, Friday morning, and Saturday morning.

If you think putting in twelve-hour days sketching in books is grueling, you've never seen my schedule at one of these shows. I'm not complaining, though. I do this because I love it.

(Okay, I'm complaining a LITTLE. The one thing I never get to do at GenCon is play games...)

On a completely unrelated note, yesterday Sandra and I celebrated twenty years of marriage. Her blog post on the subject is a much better read than these two sentences are.
