Book 5: The Scrapyard of Insufferable Arrogance — Part I: Hand to Mouth

Breya: Captain Kerchak, we badly need to raise some capital. Will your men do what is obviously contract mercenary work?
Kerchak: Hmmmm. . .
Kerchak: Let's see. . . In the last two engagements before his death, the Colonel had us raiding a game preserve, and then trying out hand at piracy.
Kerchak: I don't think it's possible for us to fall any further. Does that answer your question?
Breya: No, it just makes me want to cry.
Kerchak: Don't do it in front of the troops, please, Admiral.
