Book 10: The Longshoreman of the Apocalypse — Epilogue

Transcript

TAG: Our cases are different. You killed a few enemy combatants with the clumsy use of vastly superior force.
TAG: I killed a few hundred non-combatants because they were in between an explosion and a safe place to let it go.
Para Ventura: True. But you saved thirty million lives. I only saved three.
TAG: So the end justifies the means, and the more good you do the more people you're allowed to kill?
Para Ventura: You can't make a bacto-steak omelette without killing a few billion bacteria.
TAG: No. . . but for a fancy breakfast is it okay to actually kill a cow?
