Book 13: Random Access Memorabilia — Part I: Read

Note: The origins of the suburban statuary warfare between the retired Captain Kevyn Andreyasn and the retired General Karl Tagon can be found in the bonus story "Mad Scientist's Residence" in between the glossy, tree-killing covers of Schlock Mercenary: Resident Mad Scientist.

Transcript

AMB. GAV: Can I talk to you about clone divergence?

KEVYN PRIME: Sure, but I'm an edge case.

KEVYN PRIME: I was six weeks "ahead" of Commander Andreyasn when I arrived in this time-stream.  My captain was dead, my sister was dead, and our galaxy was dying.

We were already pretty divergent, and my arrival ensured that none of those bad things happened here.

KEVYN PRIME: Now he has a gorgeous blonde girlfriend and I march garden-statue robots to war against a nice old man with a mean streak.

AMB. GAV: You're both living the high life.
