Book 13: Random Access Memorabilia — Part II: Write

Transcript

NARRATOR: Aboard the Touch-And-Go...

TAGII: The V.D.A. has been deployed.  I now have 10,000 eyes doing target identification, resolution, and acquisition.

KEVYN: That sounds luxurious.

TAGII: It is, Commander.  Ennesby told me about the original 100-node V.D.A.  "Two orders of magnitude" does not suffice to describe the improvement.

KEVYN: Lieutenant Ventura!  Fire up Fabber Two.

I want another ten thousand V.D.A. nodes armed and ready to go in 96 hours.

PARA: Yes sir.

KEVYN: "More" keeps being "better" for the Very Dangerous Array.  I'd like to see how long that keeps up.

TAGII: Clever.  You're using my target acquisition system to identify the point of diminishing returns.
