Note: While it's not common practice to blame a soldier for equipment damage inflicted during the course of repulsing the enemy, it's also not common practice to fly through an antimatter blast front with unifield shields at 30% in order to "enjoy the view."

If Tagon were enamored of paperwork, this would come out during the debriefing and subsequent inquest. He's not, so it won't.

'Chelle: Captain, my particle cannon is down, it won't take a charge, and it won't traverse.
Captain Tagon: How did you break it?
'Chelle: I didn't break it. I fired it. Twice.
Captain Tagon: It's rated to fire a lot more than that before breaking.
'Chelle: Oh, and ummm. . . Then I passed through the blast front created by five chain-detonated antimatter warheads.
Captain Tagon: Hah. So you did break it.
