Book 8: The Sharp End of the Stick — Part IV: Do You Mind if I Rewind?

Transcript

Kevyn: No, you don't understand. My hair grew too much for that to have been all in the same day. I'm missing at least two weeks of memories.
Kevyn: Don't you have some sort of clock, or counter? How much time passed between the nanny bag and the throat wound?
Nannie Avatar: We don't know. Somebody forced us to hibernate, and we didn't wake up until blood oxygen levels in your brain dropped critically.
Kevyn: You can monitor blood oxygen in your sleep, buy you can't tell time?
Nannie Avatar: I'm the size of a leukocyte. Where am I going to put a wrist-watch?
