Book 20: Sergeant In Motion — Part III

NOTE: Sergeant Schlock's helmet—or rather, the chunk of his suit with armored eyestalks—is currently on perimeter duty, and is providing Schlock with the literal equivalent of an extra set of eyes. His unique physiology allows for a much tighter interface between his carbosilicate self and the exponential force multipliers of his fragsuit.

He's "breathing" via the hose in his back, and is "speaking" via a combination of amorph anatomy, fragsuit implants, and radio, which is best summed up as "inefficient, but whatever works."

None of this is likely to be interesting in anything other than an academic sense, which is why the story won't devote more panels to discussions of helmets.
