Book 19: A Function of Firepower — Part II

Transcript

NARRATOR: Parnassus Dom, not really a séance...

TAGON: Come on, Thurl. We need you alive, not dead.

THURL: First, I am alive.

THURL: Second, you'll manage without me.

SCHLOCK: You can do both!

SCHLOCK: You can stay in there AND come back to life out here.

THURL: Hello, Sergeant.

SCHLOCK: Do both, Thurl.

THURL: I can't do both, not even if there are two of me. It might look to you as if I'm doing both, but each of them can only do one.

SCHLOCK: So, maybe one of you wants to be alive again?

THURL: Unlikely. I am all of me, and I want to be here.

SCHLOCK: But maaayb

THURL: *interrupting* Sergeant, listen.

THURL: You're asking me to make a copy of myself who gives you what you want instead of what I want.

TAGON: Harsh.

THURL: Look on the bright side. Someday you'll probably die, and then we can hang out in here.

TAGON: See? You are dead!
