Book 2: The Teraport Wars
Part II: Through a Darkened Glass

Thrummb:From the look in your eye, Commander Gamm, I' say the Council meeting was a bust?
Gamm:Cowards, all of them. If we want that Tausennigan ship, we'll have to do it ourselves.
Gamm:The first Gamm founded this station as a safe port for our kind: smugglers, pirates, soldiers-of-fortune. . . and now we have to answer to a council of small-eyed bureaucrats claiming tenancy and moral high ground.
Gamm:I'd sooner shoot them all than sit through another meeting.
Thrummb:At least you are honest enough not to pretend to morality, sir.
Gamm:You need to work on the internal consistency of your flattery, Thrummb.
