Book 14: Broken Wind — Part I: Breath and Business

NARRATOR: Three cubic meters of hydrogen later...

Oafa: My skin is whole again.  I regain lift-breath.

GEN. TAGON: Well, good.  I'm sorry I wasn't able to dodge.

Oafa: Our meeting was not to be dodged.  You are a flying human, and you are also a Tagon.

GEN. TAGON: I'm Karl Tagon, yes.  And I'm human, too.  But humans, we don't really fly.  Not like you do.  Our trajectories are strictly ballistic.

Oafa: Yes!  All your flights are doomed, and yet you launch repeatedly!

GEN. TAGON: Well, that's just how most everything in life goes, isn't it?
