CHINOOK: I'm rather embarrassed to have missed that.

SORLIE: It's easy to miss.

CHINOOK: Easy to miss? You're talking about a multifield resonant matrix woven from a hundred thousand kilometers of polyconductor.

I saw the subsystem and thought it was just another layer of shielding.

SORLIE: Yeah, but Iafa's the one who repressed so hard he forgot how his cargo ships work.

CHINOOK: You need to work harder at getting fired so you can come work for me.

SORLIE: I'd work harder at getting fired if I thought it would actually work.
