Narrator: En route to Yoming, the Captain and the Admiral discuss command skills.
Serial Peacemaker:
Tagon: Breya, you've got what it takes to be a good commander. You just need a few pointers.
Breya: Are you offering to try to teach me how to shout your thugs around?
Tagon: No, but I've got a book for you to read
Breya: "The seven habits of highly effective pirates?"
Tagon: It's great. It's full of little rules that you can memorize to help you make snap decisions.
Breya: Most of these look pretty trite. "Pillage then burn."
Tagon: Yup. That's rule number one, right there.
Breya: "Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Take his fish away and tell him he's lucky just to be alive, and he'll figure out how to catch another one for you to take tomorrow."
Breya: Tagon, this book is a joke. It's just silly. I can tell already that there's nothing useful in it.
Tagon: It may seem silly to those outside the profession, but to those in the know..

Did you know that Colonel Ceeta and General Xinchub are both very familiar with that book?
Breya: Ah. You mean the Colonel Ceeta and General Xinchub we hve locked up in the brig aboard the Athens?
Tagon: What's your point?
Breya: My point... Of the three people I now know who have read this book, two of them are in jail, and the third one is you.
Breya: Given those odds, I don't think I want to get any of whatever's in this on me.
