CIKITSAKA: I know the morality here seems shaky.  The Diversity Engineering Institute's board deliberated for a long time on the application of this new technology.

CIKITSAKA: We finally resolved that the ability to back up and restore a human mind, or the mind of any sophont, does not cheapen our lives.  It is an expression of how very precious those lives are.

CIKITSAKA: Of course, if the system has been hacked, and somebody else is in Binnie's head, his life is now in a devaluation spiral you could pull corks with.
