Book 14: Broken Wind — Part III: Exhalation and Exit Strategies

NARRATOR: Meanwhile...

EBBY: Sergeant, stop firing into the swarm.  You're only hitting a couple of bugs at a time, and they're not coming after us.

SCHLOCK: Fine, but this wasn't the running fight I was hoping for.  All they wanted was the carcass.

MURTAUGH: Maxim 47: "Don't expect the enemy to cooperate in the creation of your dream engagement."

SCHLOCK: Whatever.  We lost a perfectly good base camp.

MURTAUGH: It wasn't "perfectly good."  It was covered in rotten meat.  We'll find high ground someplace else.

SCHLOCK: Goodbye, island.  Goodbye, giant sea monster corpse.

SCHLOCK: Goodbye, swarm of bugs.
