Book 15: Delegates and Delegation — Part I: Confidence

Transcript

ELF: Ennesby, can you—

ENNESBY: *interrupting* I can, and I did.  Summary:

The M3 Tater can be hacked, but it would require serious resources.

ENNESBY: It's designed to "call home" at the first sign of tampering.  You'd need factory keys, department keys, and user keys just to start.

Then you'd need to be able to hijack high-end nanotech, which means mil-spec fabber cycles.

ENNESBY: The number of entities with both means and motive to hack those weapons is quite small.

ELF: Would any of them be friendly toward us?

ENNESBY: Of course not.  Don't be ridiculous.
