Book 16: Big, Dumb Objects — Part I

NARRATOR: U.N.S. Embassy Guest Quarters, Eina-Afa...

VOG: I'm unrestrained, and I've got an open-air balcony?

BUNNI: I'm not afraid of you, and I don't want you to be afraid of me. I want to trade questions.

VOG: This question trading... You ask, I answer, then I ask and you answer?

BUNNI: Exactly.

VOG: It is an interrogation technique.

BUNNI: Right again. You go first.

VOG: What happened to my body?

I am tiny, and my tattoos are gone.

BUNNI: I don't know. You're roughly twelve million years old, and I can only assume that during that time you underwent some body modification.

Is that enough of an answer for it to be my turn?

VOG: Too easy.

Now it is my turn again.

VOG: How far down is the ground?

BUNNI: Eleven hundred...

... kilometers.

SCHLOCK: Pay up.

BUNNI: Just... bring him back.

And no more betting.
