Book 17: A Little Immortality — Part II

MURTAUGH: Madame Secretary, does the P.A. realize that the location of the Long Gun is completely irrelevant?

BREYA: The Admiralty has not yet internalized that information, Captain.

I'm sure that once they do, I will be pressured to expand the ban to any vessel with ties to organizations in possession of a Long Gun.

MURTAUGH: It's not just vessels, ma'am. We fired on an enemy column using targeting information provided by a simple hand-brain.

You can't ban information. You might try, but you'll only get chaos and panic.

BREYA: Thank you for reminding me that I may be presiding over the end of civilization.
