Book 11: Massively Parallel — Part I: High Olympus Command


Driggs: The problem is that the Fore and Aft annie plants are too far apart. The intersection of their sweet spots is too small, and the torque if they're misaligned is too great.
Driggs: The new plans call for a shorter, wider shaft, and a smaller forward blade.
Driggs: This design better concentrates your force for attack, and hunkers you down better for defense.
Elf: I think the Captain liked being able to say he had a Four-Hundred-and-Fifty meter warship.
Driggs: If he's using the length of this warship to compensate for something, well . . get the man an analyst, or maybe a surgeon.
