Book 16: Big, Dumb Objects — Part II

NARRATOR: Intruder aboard the depot...

S.A. Sergeant: TALK!

SCHLOCK: My name is Sergeant Schlock.

Your comm center has been hijacked. The hijackers are jamming everything so that pirates can kill us and take all our stuff.

SCHLOCK: My platoon is going to assault the comm center in about ninety seconds. We don't want to hurt innocent people.

S.A. Sergeant: And you're here unarmed and unarmored as a show of good faith?

SCHLOCK: I guess.

The Commodore says I don't look threatening.

SCHLOCK: I'm gonna have to talk to him about how he thinks I don't look.
