Book 19: A Function of Firepower — Part I

Transcript

NARRATOR: Back in Barad-Mellon Tower...

KATHRYN: Captain, this contract is deeply concerning.

TAGON: Can you be more specific?

KATHRYN: By enumerating my concerns? Yes.

KATHRYN: First, I suspect that any contract which will cover our debt will necessarily require long term indentured servitude.

TAGON: Does it say that in there?

KATHRYN: It doesn't not say it, and that's my next concern.

KATHRYN: It's terribly vague.

KATHRYN: Imagine telling someone to “win the war” without defining victory conditions, or telling them who you're at war with.

TAGON: I didn't see the word “war” in there anywhere.

KATHRYN: My biggest concern? Why did Ennesby leave before we cracked open this whopper he “negotiated?”

SCHLOCK: My only concern is will the contract be fun?

KATHRYN: How did you get into my office?

SCHLOCK: Sub-floor conduits. I'm spying for my plantoon.

KATHRYN: I now have a few tangentially related concerns.
