Book 16: Big, Dumb Objects — Part I

Transcript

NARRATOR: Commissary 14...

MURTAUGH: It's kind of weird asking this, but when did I die?

SCHLOCK: About four days ago.

MURTAUGH: I got that. I don't remember any of it, though.

MURTAUGH: The last thing I remember was checking in aboard Popigai, and then bedding down in one of her V.I.P. suites.

SCHLOCK: Oh.

MURTAUGH: I don't like the sound of that "Oh."

SCHLOCK: We were on Popigai for ten days while Sorlie and Landon swept Jumpstar Prime.

MURTAUGH: I lost ten days...

SCHLOCK: Plus the four when you were dead.

MURTAUGH: On which of those days did we decide to rename this battleplate Jumpstar Prime?

SCHLOCK: That was today.

This morning, at oh-awesome-thirty.

MURTAUGH: Of all the time I've lost, I think that losing oh-awesome-thirty hurts the most.

BATTLEPLATE: *written* StAR PRiWe!

SCHLOCK: Commander Foxworthy didn't like missing it either.
