Book 18: Mandatory Failure — Part III

Transcript

NARRATOR: The Plenipotent Dominion, near the orbital city Palindrome Demordnilap...

PUTZHO SHARD: Hey, Petey! Hey Putzho-Prime!

PUTZHO SHARD: Mission accomplished!

PUTZHO: Welcome back, Putzho.

PETEY: Eina-Afa is secure?

PUTZHO SHARD: We suborned the infosphere maintenance fabbers, and have sequestered Chinook in a shiny new annex.

PETEY: Chinook's fleet of long guns is still out there.

PUTZHO SHARD: That couldn't be helped. Those vessels severed ties when we grabbed Chinook.

PUTZHO SHARD: It's okay, though. We have trackers on about half of them, and we captured every vessel in the vault. Even if Chinook somehow busts out of the Annex of Gentle Therapy, she won't be launching more spotters.

PUTZHO: You keep saying “we.”

PUTZHO SHARD: Me, Iafa, and a few ancient Oafan data specialists... the ones who originally built the place.

PUTZHO SHARD: Speaking of which, they're quite cross with you and Tagon. They want their ships back.

PUTZHO SHARD: Including the ones you sold.

PETEY: Ouch.

PUTZHO: Petey and I can hammer that out once you and I re-synchronize.

PUTZHO SHARD: Okay, but we are keeping my new font.

PUTZHO: I already installed it.
