Book 1: The Tub of Happiness — Equivocated Prevarication

Transcript

Petey: Captain, I've been listening to what the Habans have told you about this empire of wormgates, and I have a solution.
Petey: Simply put, we destroy the galactic wormgate network, and replace it with a mega-fleet of teraport equipped carriers under our exclusive control.
Tagon: Petey, the initial assault alone would take hundreds of thousands of ships. The last time I checked we only had one warship, and that's you.
Petey: Right. We'll need to start by capturing a few hundred shipyards, and of course we'll have to destroy their defending navies.

I've thought it through, and I give my plan roughly ninety-seven percent confidence.

Tagon: Petey, as your Captain i'm just a wee bit concerned about potential delusions of grandeur on your part.
Petey: 'Captain' won't be a suitable title for you. How does 'Emperor Tagon' roll around on your tongue?
