Book 1: The Tub of Happiness — Equivocated Prevarication

Transcript

Tagon: So what should I do? Taking no action means dooming the innocent, but going public to protect the innocent will start a war that won't end until galactic civilization has been destroyed.
Tagon: Sure, I'm licensed to perform heroic acts of violence for money, and war is good for business, but I try to keep the innocent out of the line of fire. I don't see a way to do that this time.
Angel Tagon: Call Admiral Breya. She'll have the right answer.
Tagon: Why? Just because she's my commanding officer? That seems like the sort of military cop-out my conscience should be arguing against.
Angel Tagon: No. Because she's smarter than you are.
Tagon: Ouch, that was cold.
Angel Tagon: I'm a shoulder angel. I don't need to sugar-coat the truth.
