Book 10: The Longshoreman of the Apocalypse — Part II: Enter the Longshoreman

Transcript

Massey: Regardless of where we want the food to end up, we're going to have to find help getting it there.
Ennesby: The Credomar Laborer's Union has two trucking chapters. They'd be doing the job already if we'd let them.
Massey: But they won't be taking the supplies where we tell them to. The C.L.U. is so far in bed with the Foodlords it might as well be a mattress.
Massey: Since the Foodlords have no competition, handing this to them won't bring prices down. People will keep starving.
Ennesby: It's looking more and more like we're just going to have to shoot somebody.
Massey: And if I hand that analysis to the Captain over breakfast I'm sure we'll have turned Credomar into a debris field by lunch.
